Trading House SARRZ performs complex design and supply of tanks and vessels heating systems.

The heating of the tanks, namely the stored liquid, is necessary to maintain the operating temperature of the viscous oil, fuel oil, bitumen, diesel fuel, transformer fluids and other liquids, because their distinctive feature is the high temperature of pumping, fast hardening, thickening, crystallization and freezing. The need for water heating, such as fire water, is also widespread. Heating systems also compensate for operational heat loss and perform the function of starting heating of the stored liquid to start any technological process.

In addition to maintaining the operating temperature, tank heating protects the process pipelines from freezing and icing, allows to avoid increased bottom sediments accumulation, stagnation and thickening on the bottom, and prevents condensate formation on the tank shells or pipelines.

Heating systems are also used in silos and bins to heat solid working products (e.g. coal, sand), which prevents congelation of the stored product fractions.

For more efficient heating and maintaining the desired temperature, it is recommended to arrange the thermal insulation of the tank shell, which can be made of mineral wool plates, galvanized protective casing and advanced material - polyurethane foam.

We supply various tanks and vessels heating systems for different purposes:

  • tank electrical heat tracing
  • electric heating plates
  • built-in heating systems (sectional heaters)
  • coil

Tank and vessel electrical heat tracing

Industrial electrical systems of oil products heating in tanks and vessels are up-dated and one of the most common and effective ways to maintain the operating temperature.

Depending on the tank volume, the required temperature, the degree of aggressiveness and explosion hazard of the working product, TH SARRZ offer the following modifications of electric heating devices for heating tanks and vessels:

  • immersion heaters NP and NFv
  • cut-in heaters NF and NFv
  • in-line heaters MEK
  • external electric lines and heating panels: self-regulating tapes, heating cables (medium-temperature and high-temperature), induction-resistive heating systems

Regardless of whether it is internal or external electrical heating, all systems are explosion-proof and can be used at hazardous industrial facilities.

We also equip tanks and vessels with different heating sections, temperature-controlled devices and incoming charge supply and controlling systems.

The automation and power supply system can be configured on a self-regulated principle or on the principle of constant heating.

High efficiency of electric heating is achieved by direct contact with the working product, not forming the local overheating of the contacting surfaces.

Built-in heating systems. Coils

This method of tanks heating is also common and is widely used, for example, in underground drain vessels, vessels with a coil or a tube bundle.

Section heaters, coils or tube bundles are pipes of different diameters that are placed inside the tanks or attached to the outer surface of the body. Inside the heat-transfer medium circulates - water, steam or thermal oil. The disadvantage of this method is the need for additional equipment, for example, to heat water and drain the resulting condensate. Also, when using water or steam, the working product can not be heated above a certain temperature: +140°C by steam and +80°C by water. But the heater warm-up time is quite quickly.
